The Morganville Vampires - Rachel Caine *Spoiler Free*

The Morganville Vampires is a 15 book series written by the lovely Rachel Caine.
I recently read all 15 books, and the short stories included in the back of these editions, in just under 4 weeks. They were so addictive and I couldn't put any of the books down!
I won't ruin the plot of any of these books because believe me some of the events will have you leaning forwards into the book with a hand over your wide open mouth!
Throughout the series, we follow a girl called Claire who has just started College in Morganville, Texas. She ends up living in the 'Glass House' which no, it isn't a house of glass as I immediately thought. It is called the 'Glass House' because it is owned by Michael Glass. This is where Claire learns that Morganville is run by vampires. Yeah. Not your average American College experience. This is all I can tell you about the premise without ruining anything fo you so I will leave this here and go onto the characters.
Favourites first - Shane Collins.
Shane is by far my favourite character in these books (except Mirnin but anything I say about him will be a spoiler). Shane is a very angry character and is very protective of his friends but he is also very funny and sweet when he wants to be. There are events in a few of the books where Shane is the one in danger and I may have read those books a litttttle faster than the others to make sure he was okay! In the Web series, Shane is played by Jordan Farris who is an incredibly adorable person. In the Web series he has a very seperated swept fringe which I guess fits with his character as it describes him as having 'shaggy hair' but honestly, I think he should have just kept his normal haircut because he looks much better with that style. After watching the web series, I watched Lindsay Seidel's (Claire) videos from when they were in England. There is a clip of Jordan with pigeons and I highly suggest watching it because it makes me smile every time I watch it!

I guess we should talk about the main girl right? Claire is an insanely smart character however in some situations her logic is flawed which I admire because Rachel isn't writing her as this perfect character. Claire is younger than the other three residents of the Glass House so they all protect her as if she were a younger sister (except Shane if you know what I mean) Claire goes through a lot of character development over the 15 books so if you don't like her character at first, chances are you will like her by the end.
Eve. Eve is a contender for third favourite character. As soon as she meets Claire she treats her like one of the family and they work together immediately with no forced conversations and little effort from either character. They were created to be best friends. Eve is our 'resident goth', as I believe she is referred to at some point, as she wears a lot of black clothing and heavy eyeliner. I won't ramble on about Eve too much because you should read the books and fall in love with her on your own.
And the fourth and final resident - Michael Glass. I feel like anything I say about Michael will be a spoiler so let's just say he is blonde, a musician, and deals a lot in these books! He is very protective, loyal and cautious so when Claire shows up he isn't as convinced as Eve that she should stay however, as all the other books prove, he soon changes his mind.
I could write a full review with spoilers if people who have read this series want to see my honest opinions so let me know!
If you do pick up this series also let me know what you thought of it - Who was your favourite character? Which book was your Favourite? Which book was your least favourite?
My favourite character is Shane, my favourite book was probably Last Breath, and my least favourite was Fall of Night because I missed Morganville!
